I laughed when I saw an Edel Ebony because my sisters name is adele and my name is Ebony except I am the eldest.
I’m less fascinated by Cedar, more by sister’s name Thiele – or her brother’s name? I take it Phynix is a new take on the name Phoenix?
I assumed (maybe incorrectly) that Thiele was a boy. It’s a German surname said TEE-lee, and Colin Thiele was a famous Australian children’s/YA author (most famous book is “Storm Boy”).
I’ve noticed quite a few girls called variant spellings of Phoenix, perhaps wanting to make it seem more feminine?
Saffron, Homer, and Ivy? Love it. I also really like Hamish & Rowan and Sterling, Crawford, & Willoughby. Jethro and Cedar are neat finds.
