Swimmer Michael Klim, and his wife Lindy, welcomed their third child on Wednesday June 22; a baby girl named Frankie. Frankie Klim was born in a Melbourne hospital, and Michael has Tweeted that mother and baby are doing well.
Frankie joins big sister Stella (aged 5), and big brother Rocco (aged 3).
Michael and Lindy were married in April 2006; Lindy is a Balinese princess, and before her marriage was a model and fashion entrepreneur. Michael announced his return to swimming in January this year after retiring in June 2007.

I think in this instance I actually prefer Frankie to Francesca, because Stella already ends in an ‘a’ and if she’s just Frankie, or even Frances, then all the names have a different ending. That’s just me, I’m totally OCD when it comes to sibsets!
It’s not that I dislike Frankie so much, but Stella, Rocco and Francesca just sounds sooo much nicer!
The papers get details wrong all the time, so I HOPE what they really said was, “Her name’s Francesca, but we’ll call her Frankie for short”. And the reporter couldn’t spell Francesca, so he just wrote down Frankie …

I cringe when I hear Frankie as a stand alone name for a wee girl, would prefer to hear Frances or Francesca 🙂
