Whilst I applaud the use of Lou, not so sure about the use of Chilli.
Chilli is a blast isn’t it? I kept reading it again to see if I’d misread it. Still, we use Rosemary and Sage as names …
Lou seems to be cool middle name for girls of the moment – a flip on Louise.
I know countless girls with the middle name Louise, so I can agree with you that it seems an almost natural progression to switch to Lou.
Pete Evans has a daughter named Chilli and with the popularity of My Kitchen Rules it was really only a matter of time until some one used Chilli
Great name spotting, Ebony! I will have to do a celebrity baby name article about Pete Evans and his kids.
I’m with you, Lou. Just makes me think of being cold, though I can see where they got the idea it could be a name.
And Anna, I can see where Winter might bore you if you’re already coming across names like Wynta!
I’m loving the Ela, Ami, Coda sibset. Very cool. Do you know the pronunciation on Achol? I did a double take because Achol Kuel just put the word alcohol straight into my head. Come to think, I’m not even positive on pronunciation for Kuel. Is it coo-el or quool?
Ela, Ami and Coda is very minimalist!
I’m afraid I don’t know how to say Achol Kuel, but I’m pretty sure it is a Sudanese name because there is a Sudanese writer whose mother’s name is Achol Kuel (Lastname). It must be unisex, because there are men with those names too.
