Top 100 Baby Girl Names in Australia for 2011

I am curious how Tayla and Taylor are considered the same name? I know, at least in England, that the a can sound like an er but it is still different. Like Anna and Anner wouldn’t be considered the same name.
I’m just wondering. The differences in the English language fascinate Mr.
Both Behind the Name and Nameberry say that Tayla is a variant spelling of Taylor, so they may have consulted them?
Oh okay. I just thought it might be a pronunciation thing. It confused me.
Haha, I was going to search if you had done an Australian top 100 and when I viewed the home page it was right there! 🙂 So happy.
What gets me is that Ella and Ellie are there but not beautiful Eleanor which I think is the best out of the three, well it is in the A.C.T top 100…Well, I’m going to use it anyway. 🙂
Thank you for sharing!
Eleanor is a beautiful name! You’ve made a great choice.
It is only just outside the top 100 and skyrocketing, so I think we’ll see it in the NSW Top 100 within a few years, and maybe a little longer to go national.
